Parcel from Holland! (edited to add photos)

I have received a gorgeous parcel from Holland today and have been very spoilt with a scissor fob AND a tape measure with a beautifully hand stitched cover.  It's all stitched over one and is gorgeous - far better than I could ever do!  Thank you so so much Liz for such a beautiful exchange piece or pieces I should say.  I haven't even mentioned the pretty card that came with it.  It's a stitched piece but actually stitched on the card - lovely.  Thanks again!!

My scissor fob was in the post yesterday.  I thought I had posted this already but found it lurking in draft form!

I'm sorry I'm late with it but I had a bit of a disaster which is explained in the card accompanying the fob.  Hopefully it won't take too long to reach it's new home!  I won't post a piccy as I think the recipient will probably guess it's for them!

Mine was mailed today.  Sorry for the delay and thank you for your understanding.  Post office said it should reach it's destination within 6-10 biz days.

I am the lucky one!

This morning, still walking around in my PJ, the postman handed me a package. Thank you so much Miche'le. Every time I opened the TTE you treasures kept my attention and now they are mine! Lucky me. I have a basket with all kind of treasures in past exchanges and these ones get a special place in my collection.

Somethings are just the best when late

Christmas  and a  lovely parcel arrived from Sharon (Shebafudge) for me.  Poor Sharon, the first exchange didn't arrive so I hope where ever it has ended up the people are very happy with it, and so this lovely lady made another for me Tthis one arrived just in time for Christmas Day and it is just gorgeous, I particularly love the fabric Sharon used, it has all glittery bits through it.  Thank you so much Sharon - for the first which went missing and especially for the second which you were under no obligation to do but it is greatly appreciated.

Only was was lost by post office but a second one was remailed and I hope it will arrive soon to her new owner.
I think now it is late to organize a new one,also because it is nearly christmas time and we are all a bit busy at making presents.

My friends take the package for me at the post office.
Post man wrote the wrong name,the wrong date...on the advice
and then I discovery it was stopped by the customs!!!!!

In the next exchange perhaps it is better written on the envelope it is a gift with no value.Mine was stopped nearly 2 weeks at customs

Just Too Long

I think it has taken just too long now for my ornament to reach its destination, maybe it's got lost, maybe it's been 'acquired'.  Either way I think I might start a new one this afternoon and just hope that while I'm sewing the other one will turn up somewhere.

Hello Ladies....

Just a note to let you all know I am still around. It was a very LONG summer again for me and sure not going to complain about the weather we had here in northern Mn that's for sure! Seems every time I was cruising along good some family thing popped up tho and kept me from things I really wanted to do. (I think we can all relate?)
I see a few are still doing the exchanges and I missed the Christmas Ornie one...poor me! Such FUN to get a package "just for you" in the mail isn't it?

I do hope to become more actively involved again...hopefully in the next exchange that will be coming up!

Ornament Received!

Late yesterday I recieved my GORGEOUS Hardanger ornament from Laurie.  Just take a look! My picture doesn't do it justice!

I've never had anything made in the hardanger style before and it's just LOVELY!  I've always wanted to learn to do Hardanger and this just cements the deal!    Thank you Laurie for this beautiful ornament!  I will treasure it always!

I think what Amanda is meaning is for us to each stitch a post card, stitching the address and the stamp too, rather like mail art, and send it along with a postcard from where you live. Is this correct, Amanda?

Here Is My Exchange From Iza

I am so excited and happy to receive these goodies from Iza aka 5Horizons .

I really love my Pumpkin Biscornu by The Sweetheart Tree. I have seen this design and was drooling over it, but knew I would never find the time to stitch one for myself.

I also have a beautiful pumpkin coaster and a package of felt balls ( I have an idea how I am going to use them). I forgot to add some orange ribbon to the pic but am going to use it with my ball project.

There were also 7 skeins of hand dyed silk floss that have me itching to use. Four of them are  fall colors, which means more pumpkins.
I really enjoyed the post card from Poland.

Yesterday my nice Mr. Postman brought me a package all the way from the Netherlands from Liz J. for the Pumpkin Exchange. Liz did a WONDERFUL job on the beautiful little biscornu...shown back and front. She also sent along the cute handmade card PLUS a piece of nice fabric shown in the background of photos. I plan to use some of that in my crazy quilting blocks. She also sent along some extras of those cute little falls leaves, beads and ribbon trims as well.
I love it all! Thank you so much Liz for the biscornu and the great little giftys as well!

Beautiful Pumpkin Ornament Received

I just received a beautifully made fall ornament from Bonnie for my Pumpkin Exchange. She stitched a Lizzie Kate pattern (my 1st) on 32 ct fabric. I love the fabric she matched the pattern up with. It's perfect! And the button embellishment accents it beautifully as well. Her stitching is superb! Thank you Bonnie for this delictible treat!
