For being patient for my slackness. I can't find anywhere on blog where I posted pics of the beautiful needlebook that Nita made for me. I never received my original partner's project and Nita was kind enough to stitch this up for me. It sits beside me in my home office. If for some reason I did post it somewhere on blog, it is worth seeing again! Thanks sweet, sweet Nita.

Pin Cushion Mailed

My pin cushion is off on it's big journey to its new home.

Gillie's pincushion will be leaving the post office in Oshtemo, Michigan today!

My pincushion is wending its way this morning, here's hoping no volcano, fire, flood or any other disaster holds it up!

I finally put the finishing touches to my pin cushion and sent it on it's way today.
Hopefully it will arrive safely and can't wait to see all the creations posted.

Finally the promised picture I received from Pokua. Ain't I lucky!

And today I managed to part from the pincushion I made for ????????? I really had problems to part with this one, but then again, I get such lovely works in return.

Wow, look what I got in the mail

Today the post man (oops, sorry post lady) delivered a package for me - how exciting.  A parcel from Laurie in Rotorua, here in New Zealand.  Having been a follower of Lauries blog and having commented on a recent pincushion that she had posted about I was and am thrilled to have recieved it. Laurie's  work is absolutely beautiful, so fine and carefully crafted, a huge thankyou Laurie.  Here have a look for yourself, see the delicate stitches and the sweet little pair of scissors charm.

Laurie also included a postcard with tulips of the most vibrant true colours, how lucky am I.  Thankyou Laurie, I'll treasure these.hugs, Miche'le

I have received the most beautiful pincushion all the way from Lynne in Glasgow! The stitching is beautiful and Lynne has also sent a lovely little key ring with tiny stork scissors attached and some scented threads. Thanks so much Lynne - I love it!

Amanda's Tin Topper

I wanted to post a pic of the Altoid Tin that I stitched for Amanda.

It was a fun easy stitch and wasn't hard to finish at all.
I made the twisted cord to match and selected the black fabric to accent the tiny bit of black  in the design. I couldn't find the scissors I wanted to use but I think the gold ones are okay.

I attached a magnet strip for needles and sent a South Carolina refrigerator magnet. I am really happy that it made it's journey safely although it took almost 3 weeks. Talk about stress lol.
