Fall Pin Keep Rec'd

Hi all..
I received my Fall Pin Keep in the mail almost 2 weeks ago after being gone for a week myself. Then we got called for a family funeral and had to leave town again this past week and just got back.
Thank you So much NAN for the great little pin keep! She read my blog and found out I was also a quilter so she made this cute little pin keep in a quilty fall leaf theme! It's a popular quilt pattern as well! It's just too cute!

 I mailed my partners pinkeep today. I missed the deadline on Friday and had to wait until today to send it.

On my return from Italy I had a pile of mail and in amongst that pile was a beautiful pin keep received from Vivian in Canada! The colours are fantastic and I really love it! Thanks so much Vivian!

Here is a close up of the beautiful pin keep! I am a bit of an orange person so I really liked the colours and the orange goodies she sent with it! Many thanks Vivian! I have posted off my pinkeep on Friday 1 October - just in time! Hope it reaches the other side of the world safely!

I received this beautiful pinkeep all the way from Italy. Amanda did a beautiful job stitching and finishing. I love the way the ribbon is entwined around the pinkeep. I don't know the fabric but it is unique.
The post card is really pretty.

I received the most wonderful Pumpkin Exchange from Honeybee today. I feel very spoiled!



She stitched this lovely needlecase over one. She had already stitched this when she learned that I wanted something for my kitchen and not holiday related. Even though this needlecase would have been more than sufficient, she also stitched this.


This is just so perfect for me! I am just thrilled! Her stitching is beautiful!

I am so excited about what I found in the mail today.  A package all the way from Rotorua New Zealand.  It contained my exchange package from my Tiny Treasures Exchange partner Laurie J Breadmore of http://www.breadmoretravels.blogspot.com/.  It is just gorgeous :)
It was presented in a beautiful purple package.  And when I opened my package I just couldn't believe my eyes.  It contained the most beautiful pinkeep.

I'm reading on the list that you received the exchange but actually I don't know for sure if this is true since I don't see a post saying it or received an email confirming that. I sent three times and stitched twice this exchange and up today I don't have any confirmation of the reception of any of the envelopes.

I'm sorry if this sounds rude but the fact of not receiving a simple "I got it" note is discouraging .

Pumpkin Theme Exchange Sign Up (additional exchange)

Yes we will be running 2 exchange signups at the same time!  Sign-ups are open now, and will be closed 22 August 2010.  For this exchange only: post a comment here if you want to participate.  Yes you can join both if you like, as long as you can meet your obligations in both.  

You choose the type of finish, we only ask that your stitched piece include a pumpkin in the design.  All the standard rules apply, no aida, your item must be finished, and extras are not necessary.  Let your stitched piece be the treat that your partner gets, tricks will only bring you trouble.  When you leave your comment, please state whether you are ok with a Halloween themed pumpkin design, a fall design, or either.  Some people do not celebrate this holiday and would prefer a fall/ Autumn design.  This way when partners are assigned everyone will be happy and have fun.

The mailing date is October 15th.  If you are making something with a Halloween theme you should try to mail a little earlier so your partner gets the item in time for Halloween.  Your pumpkin theme item need not be a pin keep but it could be.  Make sure you send something that you would enjoy having someone send to you.

The next exchange is for a Pinkeep - I haven't made one of these, so I don't have a picture to share.  You can see some gorgeous ones here or there.

Hi there ladies,

Anyone interested in doing something for fall?  How about doing a pumpkin themed exchange? You can pick the kind of finish you like doing but the design needs to have at least one pumpkin.  I have come to realize I like stitching designs with pumpkins.  And I have a bunch of fall designs with pumpkins, hint.  But maybe something with apples or leaves?  Maybe we could do a poll to see which theme most people are interested in exchanging.   Just throwing some ideas out there.    Also since I have my hot hands on the new JS magazine I have ornaments exchanges in mind too.

It might be nice if those you had things outstanding on the previous exchange post an update to making it easier to wrap things up with it.

I have my new lovely pincusion!

Yesterday I received a perfect gift from Fiona all the way from Australia. She's made a beautiful blackwork pincushion, which I totally adore! She also included goodies: a cute tape measure and an eco-bag. Let's not forget the postcards (the one with kangaroos is sooo precious) and a lovely letter. I'm really glad this exchange had a happy ending for me. Thank you sooo much Fiona!

I received my pin cushion from all the way over in Poland the other day. Iza sent to me and I LOVE it! She did a wonderful job on her stitching and the colors she chose are beautiful together too! Sorry the pictures may be a bit dark. My camera wasn't cooperating again....found out it was low batteries....geez!

Just a quick note to say I received the sweetest pincushion from Liz...  Unfortunately my computer is down at home (yes, again!), so I'm unable to post a picture right now.  Liz stitched one of the Stitching Devils from Ellen Maurer-Stroh (over one!) and finished the pincushion as a sunflower.  Just wait until you see a picture! 

Liz ~ you didn't leave me your email address...  but thank you, thank you, thank you!!  I absolutely love the way you finished the pincushion, it is so sweet!  Your stitching and finishing are gorgeous :)  Would you be able to post a picture if you took one??  Thanks again!

Just a quick note to let you all know I haven't been at home so haven't been able to pick up my mail in about 2 weeks time. Summers here in Mn FINALLY and we spend nearly half of it at our camper in central Mn. I'll be back at home by Sunday of this week and will get my last 2 weeks mail on Monday. If I was your exchange partner don't panic yet! :) I'll let you know when I receive.
